This is a doodad that fixes scratches on compact discs, DVDs, CD-ROMs, and game discs. It works by basically wet sanding the surface of the disc to eliminate the scratches. For under $30, you get the doohickey and one sanding disc, which will repair about 20 discs before needing replacement. I've used mine on a music CD and a CD-ROM, and it worked as advertised on both.
